Progress: piece 3

Material: iphone 13

Idea: In this piece, I want to reflect that my parents' strong oppression and restriction on me, so I use the element of camera to play a role of monitoring. And because my parents and I are in different countries, one of their ways to "control" me is through camera, knowing what I am doing. This piece aims to convey the idea that children facing parental oppression experience limited autonomy, needing their parents' constant supervision and approval for any action, highlighting the parents' strong inclination for control.

Process: I started by taking a few shots of myself in the corner of my bathroom from different angles, showing being controlled, panicked as well as broken. I then overlaid multiple images and incorporated camera shots in the upper left and right corners to convey my theme. To complete the composition, I applied several layers of filters to depict the sense of oppression and detachment.

Material: iPhone 13 Idea:  I wanted to express hope, so I used sunlight. I tried to run towards the sun to reflect my vision of the bright future instead of being controlled and always stay in the dark. Process:  I found a sunny day, set up the phone holder in a place where the sun could reach it and shown the most , and then I performed the running action. Finally some filters and elements of sunlight were used to add texture to the image.

Because the blossoming of flowers represents the rebirth and growth of life, it is closely associated with positive emotions and future hope. Therefore, it can be closely related to my theme.
